Mina Ghafari

Mina is a painter from Tehran. She achieved her degree in painting from Tehran University, and has been painting professionally for 15 years, receiving first place in the prestigious 'New Generation' Biennial in Tehran. Her work revolves around the human figure, particularly the female body and its relationship to the external world. Mina is also thematically concerned with questions of liberation and its multiple meanings, examining truth through the lens of characters  who ask questions in her paintings.
