Amber Khan
Amber Khan received her MFA in Sculpture from London Metropolitan University School of Art in London this year. Khan is a mixed media artist from Honolulu, Hawai’i. Her research and practice explore philosophies around forms of life and living, spatiotemporal identities, nonlinear realities, cultural production, and the natural world. Khan considers herself primarily a sculptor with a mixed-media approach. She utilises paper mâché, wood, joint-compound, fibre, paint, and natural objects as an exploration of the natural world. In Petrichor, Khan’s works reference a blend of cultural and ecological narratives, and the types of flora and fauna Khan grew up with in Hawai’i in the yards of neighbours and friends.
